MY PARADISE

The eternal paradise of Kerala Land covered by lakes and fields Lotus flowers everywhere Ducks and ducklings swimming whole day. I miss those days before the pandemic Shutdown the world  And my visits to the fields The days I spent, in the fields and waters Those refreshing days, wanna turn back time. The beauty that lies, never fades Making me, reach out to them. Soft breeze brushing my hair And the cool waters washing my feet, My search always leads to my fields, Playing all day watching cattle graze. Oh God! Turn back time, Let me enjoy these one more time.

LIGHT IN THE DARK

In the dark abyss heard a voice It was an echo, Asking his shadow to dance He used to be so afraid Not a thumb to wipe his tears, The lost soul was always alone. He was full of problems, He was ready to die The only rule made him a loser,  A loser in this game It turned his world dark As night engulfed him alive. 'Be your light, and your night', she said In the dark abyss, she found him, Took his hand and lead him  In the world that's zero, he found her- The only person who didn't ghost him. She was his anchor of light,  He, her personal blog. Criticized by the world they were But their friendship found colours And together they painted the world.

WHY ME?

Today my forest is dark, The trees are sad, My butterflies have broken wings, The wind doesn't flow Everything's dead... There's no heart - no life, But I'm not a heartless beast I'm afraid to be happy, To be true, I'm scared Something goes wrong, and it hurts But I'm numb to this pain.  I don't feel a thing I'm empty, I'm weak I'm getting worse and you don't know. I'm done, I'm drained, I'm dead But I smile, I move on I pretend to be strong when I'm hurt You say it's anxiety, But, I know it's something with my mind You leave me scattered There are billions here But... Why me?

BROKEN

L ocked inside a prison cell Long lost, but buried still Came beside the painted wall That covered her when she was young Never tell her what you see Cause she was lost and  colorblind She decided to walk away But she wanted to stay alive Dark day and the sleepless nights Grumpy mornings, endless fights Lost the color of her life But was the paint for her friends No one really knew her still Broken was her soul inside She was learning to pretend Perfect was her broken life And no one tried to understand The pain behind her little smile

THE ARTIST

The girl drew pictures, Beautiful were they, But no one saw them, Cuz' she never wanted them. The pictures were different; Some fresh, some old, Some pale, some dark; but she drew every night. Alone at night, She drew them. Strange were they, You may think. Her wrist was her canvas, A razor, her pen, She was a broken soul, That you never met. You never knew, She was right beside you, Just a touch, Would have healed her. You paid no attention, Now she's gone. Don't shed a tear, Cuz' you never cared, When she was here.

THE ROAD BEYOND DREAMS

The mellow blush of dawn Filled the valley The sun-clad hills and dales Now lost its glory Just like knights overthrown in battle Disaster filled the atmosphere and the cries of Rachel filled the air. Freedom was their dream Development was their aim Down the valley rose a redeemer Who removed veils from their eyes Evil that men do, do prevail From creation till judgement More than dreams. Upliftment aimed is better than dreams Experience proved it too And that was what the redeemer aimed The strength he had, always proved him true That the road goes beyond what one sees.

THE LOST CHILDHOOD

T he boy lead a tough life Between a nightmare and lost dreams He was stuck No means to escape Technology engulfed him Journey to the echo-less shore was very quick. Technology made life simple His grandparents wished it too Everything is a switch away This stole his liveliness Cause he lost his childhood charm .
